At a Downing Street reception on Tuesday 5 January John Campion discussed his priorities for West Mercia, if elected in May.
Nationally, the Conservatives in Government have protected overall police spending for the next four years. This means West Mercia will have the resources to keep on cutting crime and keep our communities safe.
Commenting John Campion said: “I took the opportunity to speak to David Cameron and Theresa May about the challenges we face in West Mercia.
“I’m fighting to ensure people’s priorities for policing in their area are listened to, taken seriously, and reflected in the way our community is policed.”
Home Secretary Theresa May commented: “Police and Crime Commissioners bring real local scrutiny of how chief constables and their forces perform.
“Conservative PCCs make sure police focus on the front line so crime falls and our communities are kept safe.”
