The Members of Parliament for the six Worcestershire Constituencies have written a letter endorsing John Campions bid to be the next Police & Crime Commissioner in West Mercia.
In a recent letter of support they have issued to local newspapers they say:
Dear Editor,
As Members of Parliament for Worcestershire, the safety and well-being of our constituents is paramount and we work closely with West Mercia Police to achieve this.
Although the force has a fantastic team of officers who work hard day-in and day-out, we all believe we need a new police commissioner who can deliver for our community and bring in fresh ideas.
That is why we are backing John Campion to be West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner with the vote for this very important election on May 5.
Having talked with John we know he has developed a strong three point plan to improve West Mercia Police focusing on security, reassurance and reform which is both far-reaching and impressive.
John will also work closely with us as local MPs and the Conservative Government to produce the best results for West Mercia Police.
John has the vision and the knowledge to help make Worcestershire safer.
Your sincerley,
Harriet Baldwin – Member of Parliament for West Worcestershire
Mark Garnier – Member of Parliament for Wyre Forest
Nigel Huddleston – Member of Parliament for Mid Worcestershire
Sajid Javid – Member of Parliament for Bromsgrove
Karen Lumley – Member of Parliament for Redditch
Robin Walker – Member of Parliament for Worcester
