As Commissioner I promised as part of my Safer West Mercia plan to build a secure West Mercia - keeping our communities safe.
I pledged that the communities of #Worcestershire #shropshire #telford #herefordshire would be able to access the police in an emergency. I have invested in, supported and challenged West Mercia Police to ensure emergency calls are answered a quickly as possible.
I’m proud that last week 97% of 999 calls were answered within 10 seconds. A huge achievement for the staff in the force control room, and a vital service our community needs in an emergency.
